Porcelain Teeth Veneers
Porcelain veneers are ideal for improving the unattractive appearance of chipped, misaligned, misshapen teeth or for closing gaps, especially if these defects affect the front teeth. Dental veneers have the ability to alter the colour, shape, and size of teeth and ultimately create a great looking aesthetically pleasing smile.
A large part of Dr Fraser's work is the preparation and placement of dental veneers. He is sought out by several patients who have been unhappy with veneers they have received elsewhere and his great eye for detail is essential when preparing the exacting proportions of your new smile to fit in harmony with your face.

The appearance of the veneers can be so life-like that Dr. Fraser can produce very beautiful natural looking smiles
Porcelain veneers are very thin, aesthetic shells which can be customised in both color and shape to fit over the front surface of your teeth. They are non-invasive and are resistant to future stains and are bonded onto the tooth surface so that they stay firmly in place. There is very minimal and sometimes even no preparation of the tooth surface required before veneers are placed.
They are so thin and carefully crafted that they can easily cover the front of unsightly teeth, easily concealing the distortions which may lie beneath.
Our clients are always amazed at how comfortable the procedure is and then instantly fall in love with their new smiles! We want your new smile to be so natural that it should look as though it has always been a part of you.

You can modify shapes, lengths, colours and dimensions of teeth to create whatever smile you desire through the use of porcelain veneers.
Some of the ways teeth veneers can change your life include
-
Eliminate spaces between teeth.
-
Restore broken or chipped teeth.
-
Replace unsightly, stained or old fillings.
-
Cover permanently stained or discoloured teeth.
-
Correct misshapen or crooked teeth.
-
Can whiten dark, yellow or stained teeth which may not have responded to previous whitening treatments.
Did you know that know that Porcelain Veneers are:
Considered a permanent option to a better-looking smile.

Occasionally the preparation of a porcelain veneer does not require the use of local anaesthetic. (For patients who are particularly sensitive or anxious, a local anaesthetic is advisable)

Veneers are cemented securely in place using a resin that hardens under a specially developed light.

Once placed, your veneers are very strong and will resist most of the forces placed upon them by a normal diet - you should however avoid anything that will tend to twist and flex the veneers, for example cracking nuts open with your teeth, as they will still chip or break off if not cared for properly. A veneer that becomes loose can usually be recemented without too much fuss.

You must always protect your teeth and veneers with a mouthguard when playing contact sports.
