Inlays & Onlays
Extensively filled back teeth can now be rebuilt with the modern technology of porcelain to restore teeth to their original colour and shape. Teeth which have very large silver fillings are at a high risk of fracturing and causing further damage to what little amount of tooth tissue is actually left. These teeth can now be rebuilt with porcelain fillings(inlays/Onlays) - a much stronger and more long term option than a regular filling.
Not only will the tooth look like a normal tooth again, it will be a very aesthetic natural colour match and will be more durable lasting many more years than a regular filling. After treatment you can open your mouth wide again - laughing and smiling with confidence.
Onlays are sometimes referred to as partial crowns as they cover slightly more of the tooth surface. These restorations are much more conservative though than crowns, and can be imperceptible from your natural tooth.
